Apple Pear Cranberry Crisp
Thanks to our good friend Russell Powell at NewEnglandApples.org for letting us publish his recipe for this scrumptious baked crisp that features three or our favorite, classic autumn flavors.

Apple Pear Cranberry Crisp

Ingredients
Six mixed New England apples, like Hudson's Golden Gem, Honeycrisp, and Shamrock
1 pear, like Asian, Bosc, or Bartlett
¼ cup whole cranberries
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
½ tsp salt
Topping:
¾ cup whole-wheat flour
¼ cup old-fashioned oats
¼ cup brown sugar or ⅓ cup maple syrup
5 Tbsp butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Core and slice the apples and the pear and place into a buttered 8-inch square pan. Sprinkle cranberries, lemon juice, and spices over the apples. Combine topping ingredients to cover the fruit and berry mixture. Bake for 45 minutes or until apples have softened.
